The Great
Dane Club of Central North Carolina, Inc. is very fortunate to
have several rescue volunteers as members of the club. Our
hope is that together we can do great things here in North
Carolina. There are many Great Danes in need of loving,
forever homes. As ambassadors of the breed we strive to make
every effort to do the right thing for these Great Danes.
Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League Inc (MAGDRL) has been
serving the Mid-Atlantic states for the past 26 years as a
rescue organization to help abandoned, abused, and neglected
Danes. If you have room in your heart and in your home for
another Great Dane please consider rescuing one of these

Meet Spartacus
Spartacus is a 1 year old merle male with natural ears. He is a very special boy that has
had a rough start to his short life. He got a little bit too excited when he was younger,
and well, his private parts got stuck out. This was very bothersome to him so he decided
to chew on it to try to help. That was a very bad decision on his part because he caused
the formation of scar tissue and now he has trouble peeing. He is going to have to have
surgery to fix his private parts so he will be able to pee again comfortably. In addition,
he managed to tear the main ligament in his knee in all of his excitement. He will have to
have this repaired at the same time that they fix his other issue. Spartacus has been a real
trooper and is just a happy go lucky boy. His surgeries are estimated at around $3000, but
we know that he deserves a chance and a happy and pain free life. He loves to give big sloppy
kisses and still tries to jump and play because he is still all puppy. Please help Spartacus
to learn a life where he can actually be a normal, happy puppy for a change. Spartacus came to
MAGDRL in May 2011.
